Why stay with The Chalets?

The Chalets is the original cabin rental operation of the Hocking Hills. Established in 1988 by a native Hocking County resident. Starting with 16 A-Frame Cabins and the Fallswood Lodge, we have grown to over 50 premier cabins – those still being the number 1 preferred and referred lodging establishment of the Hocking Hills. There are no surprises as to the quality, cleanliness and friendliness you will receive from our establishment. We are continually upgrading our cabins and lodges. We spend more on upgrades than any of our competitors on an annual basis.

Do you have gift cards?

Chalets’ Gift Cards may be purchased via our website or calling our office. Purchase in a dollar amount to use toward a stay or we will gladly itemize the cost of a stay for you.

What is the weekend two night minimum?

A two night minimum on weekend is Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Any stay that consist of a Friday or Saturday night is considered a two night minimum at weekend rates.
During Saver Season some cabins may be available for a one night rental on weekends.

Do you allow a Sunday only reservation?

Sunday only reservations are permitted for A-Frame Cabins and Luxury Cabins at a weekday rate. A Saturday and Sunday together – 2 nights – are both nights at the weekend rate.

What is the Holiday 3 Night Minimum Stay?

Holiday weekends or Special Event periods are a 3 night minimum. Lodges are a 3 night minimum stay Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends.

When is Check-In time?

We can guarantee that your cabin will be completely ready for you at 4:00pm. Due to the geographical location and pre-arrival inspections of the cabins and the hot tubs, we do not accept early check-ins.

When is Check-Out time?

Please check-out promptly by 11:00am.

Is Hocking Hills dog friendly?

All local state parks will be pet-friendly apart from Conkle’s Hollow State Park. Quite a few of our cabins are also pet-friendly. If you would like to bring your fur-babies with you, just give us a call to find out what pet-friendly cabins are available for you!

What is your Pet policy?

Permitted only in cabins designated as ‘pet friendly’ with prior approval by the Chalets. Pets must be reported to and approved by the Chalets prior to arrival and occupy. Absolutely no pets in non pet friendly cabins.

Pets are permitted only in cabins designated with prior approval by the Chalets.
Maximum number of pets per cabin two (2).
The pet fee is $50.00 per stay plus tax.
Pets must be well mannered and house broken.
Pets must be kept on a leash when outside and with you.
Pets are NOT to be left unattended or alone in the cabins.
Crates, pens or carrying case are mandatory.
No rottweilers, dobermans, pit bulls, or any vicious breed permitted. Sorry for any inconvenience.

How old do you have to be to rent a cabin in Hocking Hills?

You must be 21 or older to rent our 2-6 person cabins, and 25 or older to rent our larger 8+ person cabins & lodges. As the responsible member of your group you will be responsible for any occurrences during the stay. A photo copy of your driver’s license will be taken at the time of check in.

Do you require a deposit?

At the time of making your reservation the full amount will be applied to your credit card. If you are staying more than one night and would like to pay a deposit of 50% instead of the full balance, please call into our office at 800-762-9396 to make the reservation. Any remaining balance is due upon arrival and may be paid in cash or credit card. We do not accept checks. For your convenience, we accept Visa, Master Card and Discover. The credit card must be in the same name as the person making the reservation. One night rentals are allowed Sun. – Thurs. (Lodges excluded Memorial Day – Labor Day). Please complete, sign and return all rental documents prior to check-in.

What is your Cabin or A-Frame cancellation policy?

If you cancel your Cabin or A-Frame Cabin reservation 30 days prior to the arrival date, you will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee and refunded your prepaid amount. If you cancel your reservation within 30 days of the arrival date, you will not receive a refund of your prepaid amount and the remaining balance will be charged to your credit card on file. However, if we are able to re-rent your cabin or suite for the same period at equal value, then you will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee and refunded the full or partial amount of your prepayment. There are no cancellations due to inclement weather. Approved changes to the dates of your reservation are subject to a $50.00 fee.

What is your Lodge cancellation policy?

LODGES: 1. If you cancel within [(90) days] of your arrival date, your account will be charged the entire rental fee, unless we are able to secure another occupant. OMCC will make every effort to secure another occupant. If we are able to secure another occupant, then you will receive a partial refund of your prepaid rental fee, less the amount of the first nights stay. 2. If you cancel earlier than [ninety (90) days] of your arrival date, you will receive a full refund of your rental fee, less a $250.00 cancellation fee. OMCC reserves the right to cancel this reservation at any time by returning your full deposit. Any change in the arrival date requires OMCC approval. There are no cancellations due to inclement weather.

What is the maximum occupancy?

Please check the maximum occupancy allowed for each A-Frame Cabin, Cabin or Lodge and remember that this includes children over 3. To ensure your safety, we cannot permit you to exceed the maximum occupancy in or around the facility at any time. No tents, campers or any additional persons permitted. A fee of $25.00 per person will be charged to your account per day for any violations and you may be asked to leave without reimbursement.

What is included with the linens and supplies?

We supply the bed, bath and kitchen linens, dishes, dish soap, hand soap, glassware, silverware, pots and pans and trash bags. All facilities have central air conditioning and heat, a TV, DirectTV, DVD player, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, outdoor charcoal or gas grill, a fireplace and private hot tub. You may want to bring additional beach towels for the hot tub and swimming pool.

What is your policy on firewood?

Firewood is not provided, but may be purchased at our rental office, or you can bring you own.

What should I bring to Hocking Hills?

Food items, salt and pepper, charcoal, foil, paper towels and/or napkins, beach towels, alarm clock, flashlight, wood and/or starter logs -if you have wood burning fireplace. Can you swim in Hocking Hills?

The only state park that permits swimming in the Hocking Hills is Lake Logan State Park. We do have a pool that is available for all of our cabin guests, four lodges that have their own private pools, and an 8-Person cabin called Rockhouse that has sole access to our main pool after it closes every night. Our pools are open Memorial Day thru Labor Day, from 10:00am thru 7:00 pm.

Do you allow outdoor fires?

Yes we allow outdoor fires wherever outdoor fire pits are assembled. Call our office at 800-762-9396 for a list of cabins with outdoor fire pits.

Is smoking allowed in cabins?

Our cabins are non-smoking indoors. Thank you!

What city is Hocking Hills in Ohio?

The Hocking Hills State Park is located in Hocking County just outside of the city of Logan, Ohio. It is the closest town to all of our cabins and will have shopping, grocery stores, and a multitude of restaurants.

Do you have a hot tub or swimming pool?

All our properties will have outdoor hot tubs that are open year-round. Each of our four lodges will have their own swimming pools. We will have another pool at our office that is open to all of our cabin guests through the day, and is open solely to the guests staying at the attached Rockhouse cabin through the evening. Our pools will be open Memorial Day through Labor day.

Is there Wi-Fi at Hocking Hills?

Most of the state parks will have no public Wi-Fi networks, and cell phone service will be spotty at best. All our cabins will have landlines, however, and a great majority of them will also have optional Wi-Fi. If having Wi-Fi is a must for your stay, feel free to call and our reservationists will be happy to make sure you have a property where it’s available.

Will our cabin have cell service?

Cell service in the area will be spotty, however all our cabins have land lines that can be used for local and long distance calls or in case of emergency.

Does Hocking Hills State Park have a lodge?

Hocking Hills State Park did have a public lodge, however it was lost to fire in 2017. There are plans to rebuild, however the date has not been set for construction to begin. They do have a sister lodge, Lake Hope Lodge, located at the Lake Hope State Park, located a short drive from our office.

What animals live in Hocking Hills?

The Hocking Hills have an abundance of wildlife, and when you’re hiking the area you’re likely to see a great deal of it. We’ll have white tailed deer, ruffled grouse, barred owls, bald eagles, fox, turkey, and far more than can be listed here.

What is there to do in Hocking Hills in the winter?

While there are fewer activities available in the winter as opposed to the warmer months (Can you imagine ziplining when it’s 20 degrees out?), there are still a multitude of ways to enjoy yourself. The state parks are open year-round, so hiking is still the most popular activity, even with the cold. There is star gazing, visiting the local winery, relaxing in your cabins’ hot tub, even taking local leisure learning classes at Hocking College. Can we access state park trails from our cabin?

None of our properties will have walk-on access to the parks, however all of our properties are a short drive away from all of the local state parks.

Are Visitors Permitted? How many people can be at the property?

Only registered guests may be at our properties unless approved by management. Exceeding the property’s max occupancy is not permitted, however, with no exceptions. Exceeding occupancy can result in early termination of your stay without possibility of refunds.

Are your cabins secluded?

We have a range of cabins with varying levels of seclusion. We will have properties in the same area, and we have them spaced further apart depending on the individual property. If you have any questions about the seclusion of a certain cabin, how far it is from local attractions, please feel free to call us at 800-762-9396. Our reservationists will be happy to assist!

Can we have events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, post-prom parties, etc?

Events such as these are not allowed at any of our properties.

Is There High-Speed Internet?

All our lodges and a great many of our cabins will have Wi-Fi, however due to our location there will be appx a 3mbps bandwidth limit.

Can we use our ATV’s on the property?

ATVs or similar are not allowed at any of our properties, without exception.

Does housekeeping come by daily?

Housekeeping does not come by during your stay. Our maintenance staff will be by daily to check the chemical levels in your hot tub and pick up any trash. Bath towels can be exchanged for fresh ones at our front office throughout the day.
