Stayed in the Elk and absolutely loved it. We didnt use the loft the stairs were a little small. Can't wait to go back again. They have multiple cabins. The chalet was just as described. It was cozy and comfortable. The location was beautiful and quiet and very close to the Visitor Center at Hocking Hills, where we spent our Spring Break hiking the trails. The host was very proactive and responsive. Our family stayed here over spring break and we had a great time! The cabin was clean, well maintained, and very cozy! It rained on and off during our time so the hot tub and fireplace were so nice while we played games, cooked dinners and watched movies all cuddled up! Fantastic location for hiking , restaurants, the petting zoo, and more ! We had one moment that we needed maintenance and honestly all staff were responsive, kind, and very fast to come help us! Very much enjoyed our stay at the Chalets! It was very cozy but with plenty of space for us and our child. I appreciated the prompt and friendly communication with Dannie as well as all the detailed instructions and directions. The location was so perfect for our brief stay in Hocking Hills, just a short drive to many of our favorite hikes. The chalet had everything we needed to make coffee and have breakfast at home. We ate takeout for our other meals but it was nice to have everything we needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was clean and easy to operate, the bathroom was clean and spacious and the living space was too. We would definitely stay here again! - 4/03/2026 Lindsay
This was our first trip to Hocking Hills and so glad we chose the A-frame it was perfect for me, my husband and daughter. The location was perfect and the chalet was better than the picture. We only booked 2 nights and want to stay longer! Love that the hot tub was covered so we could enjoy it when it was raining out. We enjoyed our stay in Hocking Hills and the location was close to the State Park. The A-Frame was charming and quiet. We didn’t use any of the amenities at the Chalets but could see that the fire pit, saunas and pool were all within walking distance of our Chalet. There was wood at the fire pit but you would need to get wood from the office for your fireplace as ours had a buck stove. The only thing is that the outdoor grill was like the ones you see at a park and ours was rusted through in the bottom so that may need to be updated.Pack in a grill brush, charcoal, tin foil and bottled water. The refrigerator is small so if you are bringing a lot of groceries you will need a cooler. - 3/30/2026 Nick

Last minute weekend getaway and this place did not disappoint us, stayed in A-frame #18 it was Private and exceptionally clean, it was a wonderful getaway close to all of the hiking trails, we will definitely be going back. Gorgeous spot in Hocking Hills for a cabin stay. Cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Worked quickly to resolve noise complaints and even offered a free late checkout for our troubles. 10/10 we will return as often as possible. This cabin is right across from the sauna pods! The A-frame Chalets were very cozy, the surroundings were beautiful and the property was well maintained. The location was close to all of the hiking at the state park and there were plenty of food options. In the winter, you would definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle with any snow, ice would be a challenge. We loved everything about it. Wish we would have had more time! The Chalets are the perfect place to stay when visiting the Hocking Hills region. The A-frame cottages are comfortable and provide everything needed. The hot tub was a much welcomed treat after a day of hiking, the pool was large enough to accommodate a number of guests without feeling crowded, the woods surrounding the cottages is so peaceful, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a great experience at Pioneer cabinsThe cabin was equipped with everything you could need down to coffee filters and matches. I brought charcoal for the grill and stocked the fridge and we were good to go. It’s secluded enough without being too out of the way. Wonderful weekend at Big Sky Lodge. No problem finding it at all check in very easy great accommodations. One refrigerator not working but not a huge problem. Maybe needed a few more towels. Very nice and spacious place to stay. I have a large family with several grandchildren that stayed and we had a great time at the Big Sky Lodge. We were close to the state park for all the hiking we did. We were also close to golf and restaurants, The pool and fire pit was great. Very quiet and peaceful. Our family of 4 loved the A framed cabin and it was exactly as described in the listing. My kids (10,13) especially loved the loft area and hot tub in the cabin. While there were 17 other units near ours, the back patio with the hot tub was private and peaceful. We also enjoyed how close the cabin was to the Hocking Hills park. We had a lovely stay in this cozy a-frame, which was in a great location just a few minutes from Hocking Hills State Park. The laminated map provided in the cabin was a helpful touch- we took that with us while hiking. Everything was exceptionally clean and uncluttered. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck, fire in the wood stove, DVD selection from the office, and were able to make some meals in the little kitchen with the kitchen utensils and supplies on hand. Our young kids loved the loft room for sleeping. The whole family loved our stay and would definitely come back- highly recommend! - 3/28/2025 Regan
Wonderful stay with my mom for a little retreat! We enjoyed the space, beds and living room furniture were all very comfortable. The patio with a hot tub was the best part, and even though you know there are neighbors it feels private because of the wood porch! It was easy to reach our pod and we enjoyed our 1 hour stay. The temperature was perfect (80* celsius) and the view was superb.
An FYI for first timers.. the "changing room" is more of a closet. Wasn't an issue, just unexpected with our group of 4 thinking we could change in the "room".

The Chalets made for a great weekend getaway! Booking was incredibly simple, and the email updates made sure I didn't miss anything. Check-in and check-out were effortless. And when I did have to call the office, Matt -- I believe his name was Matt, but I forgot to write it down -- was incredibly personable and helpful with my questions and maintenance addressed the low water level in the hot tub almost immediately. Clean and they have nice pool for their guest which is hard to find with a cabin rental. The location is great to Old mans cave only seconds to the store and 2 miles to the park. The cabin was beautiful, peaceful, very spacious with breathtaking scenery. The kitchen was very well equipped. The hot tub is under a gazebo with night lights and a bench/table right beside it for those who are not in the hot tub to still be a part of your conversations. The in-ground pool was very clean and there’s even a half bathroom outside by the pool. Walmart was only a 10-12 minute drive 🙂 The host was very kind, helpful, and easy to reach. We got there to the cabin and we laid one of the small white floor mat towel and we went to hang it up to dry we noticed it had brown stains on it we wasn’t sure what it was but I just figured I would let you know - 7/27/2024 Jonette

The location was so serene, peaceful beautiful cabin, hot tub was amazing, plenty of linens. My only minor complaint is for the price paid could you at least provide coffee? This was 1st Air BNB I have been at that did not provide coffee. - 7/08/2024 Joshua

Loved staying here! Perfect for a peaceful weekend in hocking hills. The property could accommodate 4 adults comfortably. The privacy with the hot tub was great and it was close to key hikes, but also an easy exit to the highway. Carly - 5/05/2024 Mollie

The chalet was lovely, clean, and comfortable, but definitely right on top of our neighbors on either side. They are set up well for privacy but you don't necessarily feel like you're out in the woods. - 4/21/2024 Michael

If you’re planning to hike Hocking Hills State Park, you can’t beat the location! Close to some beautiful hikes. Close to town, but far enough away to have the peace and quiet you’re looking for. Being able to check in on our own schedule was perfect. - 3/28/2024 Tim
