Rappelling and Hocking Hills Rock Climbing

Summer in Ohio is in full swing, and it’s time to lace up your hiking boots and make your way to the Hocking Hills. As Ohio’s premier outdoor adventure destination, there are endless ways to discover the park’s caves, waterfalls, forests, and sandstone cliffs. Even the natural sandstone cliffs attract adventurers, offering excellent rock climbing and rappelling. Experienced rock climbers can access 99 acres of public climbing areas within Hocking State Forest, and beginners can try climbing for the first time with a local guide. Choose Chalets in Hocking Hills to host your getaway and discover adventure outside your front door!

The site is located off Pine Road and one mile east of our Chalets at Conkles Hollow. The cliff is approximately 100 feet with numerous slump blocks, chimneys, and overhangs to challenge climbers.
